In another part of the city a darkly clothed stranger floated in the sky over looking Tokyo.

"This place is perfect Buri," the figure said, in his arms he held a small child, no more than five or so. "With all the people here we're sure to be able to find enough feelings of love to heal you. We'll begin in a few days. By Valentine's day we'll have gathered enough of their feelings of love, and then, my little sister you will be healed."

"Thank you, Tourkakame." A small voice whispered.

The next few days of school were the same, except for lunch on the 5th  day, she of course had nothing to eat and was planning on doing some homework, until Tsukino-san and her friends found her. The tall girl came forward first.

"Hey, listen I know how hard it is to be the new girl, and I noticed these past few days that you never have a lunch so I made extra if you want some. My name is Kino Makoto by the way. You can call me Mako-chan."  Mako-chan  sat down beside her and passed a fairly large pink bento box, she didn't take it. The others sat down around her. "These are Ami-chan," Blue-Hair. "Minako-chan," Blondie. "And you already know Usagi-chan. There's another member of our group, her name's Rei but she goes to a different school." Mako-chan continued.

"Why are you doing this for me? Look, I appreciate the offer but I don't take charity. Now just leave me alone." She glared at them. They looked at each other and left.

"Why do you think she was being so mean?" Usagi asked.

"I don't know, she's pretty vicious for somebody so tiny." Minako said looking back.

"She's like a hornet, small but hurts. She could even look like a hornet with that one long braid she wears." Makoto added.

"Mako-chan, don't say mean things. I get the feeling she doesn't like people." Ami said looking back.

Once Hanako had reached the theater she was surprised to see Mamoru-kun waiting for her.

"You won't be getting rid of me easily today." He told her with a smile. "I brought some food." He said lifting up a grocery bag. In spite of herself, she smiled.

"Alright, come in." she said opening the door. She led him to the stage and looked around, dim light came in through the cracks in the walls. "Sorry there isn't much light, the power of course doesn't work anymore, but I've got candles. Hang on a sec, I'll go get them." She jumped off the stage and headed up a flight of stairs, which from as far as he could tell led to the balcony. Soon she was back with a handful of candles and a lighter. As she set out the candles and lit them Mamoru brought out the food. It was nothing fancy, a plain bento box filled with onigiri, sushi and four large meat dumplings. He also brought cartons of strawberry milk.

"Strawberry milk!" she exclaimed "That's my favorite." Mamoru handed her a carton as she picked up an onigiri. He smiled as her face lit up with delight.

"Hanako-chan, how long has it been since you last ate?" He asked her picking up an onigiri of his own. She was quiet for a second, then shrugged.

"I dunno a few days ago I guess. When was the festival?" she asked him shoving a dumpling into her mouth.

"That was five days ago Hanako-chan."

"Then I ate last three days ago." She said with a shrug, taking another huge bite out of the dumpling.

"Why three days ago?" he asked, he had finished his one onigiri but didn't take another, it was obvious she needed the food.

"I picked a few pockets while I was there. I got a nice tidy sum of 1000 yen. It was enough to buy me cheap food for a few days. I was probably going to go to a fruit vendor or something and take what I needed for tonight."

"Hanako-chan how can you live like that? Taking someone else's money and stealing food? Doesn't it bother you? Why don't you get a job?" Hanako shrugged.

"I've been on my own for 3 months now, this is the only way I can live. I tried getting jobs, but a lot of them ask where I live and I can't tell them the Toshiba Theater. What few dollars I can get here and there go towards food, I steal the rest of it or I just don't eat. Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat. That's how it goes for me." She sat back and sipped her drink. "My aunt took everything I had, she took over my family's tea shop. I wasn't of age so I couldn't stop her. She was supposed to take care of me but she just took everything I had and used it for her own kids. I don't blame her, she was a single mother with three kids to feed. But that's why I left, she didn't need another mouth to feed. Much less one she didn't even like."

"Hanako-chan why didn't you let me help you?" Mamoru asked shocked to hear how long she's been doing this.

"Thanks Mamoru-kun, but I can't. You're the only person who knows about this and I don't take charity. I'll be fine."

Triennia ran to her room, closed the door and fell into a heap of tears on her bed. A knock on her door came. "Go away!" she yelled. How could he do that to her? Why did he fall in love with Serenity? Triennia rolled over and wiped her eyes.

"Why does this even matter? I love him so much, I just want him to be happy. Even if that means it's without me." She fell asleep tears still streaming down her face. The next morning she woke up and put on his favorite dress, she opened her door and walked down to the rose garden, Endymion was there, sitting on the edge of the fountain.

"Triennia! I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you, I swear. I told Serenity that we could never be, I promised you we'd get married." She put a finger over his lips and shook her head.

"You always did talk too much." She said with a sad smile, she sat down next to him. "You know it was in this very spot that we met and found out we'd be getting married. Do you remember? We were never really friends until my tenth birthday, you were already fourteen by then. Do you remember how our parent's planned that we would live here in this castle, built right on the border of North Earth and South Earth, for a whole summer. Every year in hopes we'd fall in love?" she laughed as she remembered.

"Triennia where are you going with this?" he asked taking her hand, she pulled her hand away and looked him in the eye. The intensity in her emerald eyes startled him.

"I'm saying that this is where it started, and this is where is should end." She took off the necklace that she wore, it was a gold locket with a red rose embossed on it. "This is the first rose you ever gave me, my favorite flower." She looked at it sadly then handed it to him. "It's yours, take it." He took it but only to place it back around her neck.

"No, when I gave you this I promised you I'd love you forever-"

"And you will, as I will always love you. But the love you feel for me and what you feel for Serenity are very different. You love me like a sister, and I only want your life  to be happy. Even if I'm not part of it."

"I promise, no matter what happens, you will always have a place in my heart." She smiled and hugged him.

"I promise the same to you. I swear by every rose in this garden. As long as there are roses in this world, you will be in my heart."

"Hanako-chan!" She turned and saw her friend running towards her. "I knew it was you, by your hair." He told her once he'd caught up and was walking beside her.

"Mamoru-kun!" She cried giving him a hug. "What are you doing here?"

"You can't keep living there. The way you live isn't healthy. One of these days you'll get caught and it'll go on your record and you'll never be able to have a proper future. So you're going to come and live with me in my condo." He smiled down at her.

"Mamoru-kun, I can't." she protested. He shook his head.

"I'm not taking no for an answer. Now I've already got a room set up for you, all we need are your things. Besides, if you haven't heard the city has decided that your theater is a hazard, it's being torn down in three days."

"Mamoru-kun I don't want charity." She wanted to live in a house again, as fond as she had grown of her theater it wasn't a house with hot water and a proper roof.

"Can you cook and clean?" he asked casually once they reached the Toshiba Theater. She nodded.

"Yes, my parents ran a tea shop in Kyoto, I often helped my father cook and cleaning was a natural part of my day."

"Well how about we do that. If I cook you'll clean and vice versa. My condo's pretty empty, I could use a dinner guest."  He told her once they were inside.

"Well…" she hesitated. "On the conditions that this isn't charity, I'll work for my keep. And that Selene can come along too." He laughed and put a hand on her shoulder.

"I wouldn't dream of excluding her. Go get your things, I brought my car so we can carry everything." She nodded and ran up the balcony to get her belongings. She only had two duffel bags of things, in one she kept all of her mother's favorite kimono, in the other there were only a single pair of jeans and two shirts. There was also a picture frame of her with her parents on her birthday and a pink stuffed dragon. She shoved the other two sets of uniforms she had into the bag along with her runners. She didn't bother taking any of her cushions or the ragged quilt. She dragged the two bags down stairs with her, Selene followed close behind.

"Let me take those." He told her as she struggled, she let go and picked up her book bag from the floor.

"Are we ready to go?" Hanako looked around the place she had called home for three months then nodded.

"Alright, let's go then." He brought the bags to the car and put them inside the trunk. He then turned and opened the passenger side door for Hanako. Once she was in he went around to the other side and started the car.

"Mother, Father, Endymion and I have ended our engagement." Triennia told her parent's later in the day.

"But Triennia, why? You loved him so much, why would you cancel the marriage?" Her mother asked.

"Because I love him. He's not in love with me, he loves me like a sister. The person he truly loves is Serenity. They both mean so much to me, I want them to be happy. Which is why I have arranged with Serenity to take me to the Moon with her to become a full Senshi for her."

So, chapter two. I kinda like putting up old stories cause it means there isn't a wait between submissions lol. I'll be posting the next chapter today too, ones after that will have to wait though cause I haven't written them yet ^^;
